About Us

We’re the RCN Library and Heritage Centre Graduate Trainees for 2016/17 and over the next few months we’ll be documenting our year working at the RCN. We’re both recent graduates, new to library work and keen to share our experiences, particularly with others considering a career in the sector. Feel free to get in touch via the comments section and we hope you enjoy reading about our shenanigans.

Hi, I’m Miriam and I’m the newest Graduate Trainee to join the team at the RCN Library and Heritage Centre. I studied English Literature at King’s for-introductory-blog-postCollege London and graduated in 2016. My role at the RCN is my first graduate job and I am keen to pursue a career working in libraries because of the varied nature of day-to-day work in a library and the opportunity to work for interesting and worthwhile organisations.

Hi, I’m Tim and I started as a Graduate Trainee at the RCN Library and Heritage Centre in April 2016. I graduated many moons ago from the University of Lincoln where I studied English. Due to my charm, charisma, infamous wit and award-winning customer service skills, I have found that working in libraries suits me well and I look forward to pursuing this career further.
